Stolen mail collection box has been recovered .

PHOENIX -- A blue mail collection box that was stolen in Phoenix has been recovered. A postal inspector said the box was empty. The collection box was stolen from the area of 35th Avenue and Earll Drive Friday night or early Saturday morning. Mail theft carries a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call 1-877-876-2455. Customers who believe their mail may have been affected can also call 1-877-876-2455 and file a mail theft complaint. Postal inspectors had been offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft. No details have been released about exactly how the missing box was recovered
